How We Work with Anger
Anger is a natural and protective emotion—it signals threats and unmet needs. But unmanaged anger can lead to harmful reactions, damaging relationships and personal wellbeing.
When we focus on anger management in therapy we help clients understand the root causes of their anger: the fears, frustrations, and needs beneath the surface. Often, the trouble begins when people suppress their needs, only to later erupt. Learning to name and express feelings clearly and early can prevent the kinds of outbursts that hurt ourselves and others.
We also equip clients with practical tools: early warning systems, calming techniques, and de-escalation strategies to safely navigate triggering situations. These tools help reduce harm while preserving the clarity and assertiveness anger can offer.
