Grief Therapy
How We Work with Grief
Through our experiences and clinical work, we’ve come to understand grief as the process by which our minds and hearts find peace amidst loss. Grieving can include emotional disconnection, malaise, confusion, anger, and waves of pain that come without warning. We may cry, shake, wail, or reach for something—or someone—that can no longer be held.
Grief follows its own logic. Emotions can arise unexpectedly: in solitude or among others, in short bursts, or even years after the loss. Over time, many people discover increasing ease and freedom, though grief may never feel entirely “complete.”
In grief therapy, our role is to be deeply present and make space for whatever arises. Sometimes, clients request help connecting to external supports or making life adjustments that can support their emotional healing. When they do, we offer guidance and resources aligned with their needs.
Sometimes, we’ll highlight relational dynamics that may be hard to see from the inside. These insights can spark meaningful change and connection.
Most importantly, we believe in your inner goodness. We don’t judge—we seek to understand. We name harmful behaviors honestly, while honoring your autonomy to choose how to respond and grow.
